Independently, Prem did some of his best work outside of the group. Case in point...

As well, on one album in particular Premier boosted it's appeal without a doubt...Sort've like how you'd mess with a ugly rich chick. You think "damn this bird is ugly" but she's got money & recieves a few points on the dime scale just for that.





He made Melachi & Lil Dap's gritty/squeaky duets a pleasurable listening experience (was I the only one who envisioned Mel as being a grimey lil stick up kid before he got on with rap, strictly off hearing his voice?) His production on this album was above & beyond anything he's ever sculpted on an album as whole.

So imagine my pleasure when my man (I see you sir!) passed me the instrumental version of this joint.

In it's barebones form, listeners are allowed to take in the full scope of sounds & pieces that go into a Premier beat. The extra almost bird-like nuances thrown off in "Suspended In Time", the murky feeling of "4 Give My Sins"...
